MHA Performs Annual Subsidized Waitlist Update

MISSOULA – Monday, September 29, 2025 – The Missoula Housing Authority (MHA) rental assistance department is performing its annual waitlist update for rental assistance programs. With about 2,500 households currently on waitlists for subsidized housing, the organization is working to confirm who would like to remain on the list and ensure their contact information is current. An updated waitlist allows MHA to provide rental assistance to those who need it more efficiently.

On Friday, October 3, MHA will mail a notice to each person on subsidized waitlists using the address the applicant provided. The notice contains a letter identifying the waitlists the prospective participant is currently on. The person who receives the notice can check the box indicating they would like to remain on the list, sign and date the letter, and return it to MHA using the prepaid envelope provided, or they may contact MHA by email, phone, or in person.

The deadline to respond to remain on the waitlist is December 10, 2025.

All returned and undeliverable mail and no responses by December 10, 2025, will result in removal from the waitlist. If someone does not receive a notice and believes they should have, please get in touch with MHA at 406-549-4113.
