  • Where do I pay my rent?
    You can send or drop off your check or money order to Missoula Housing Authority, 1235 34th Street, Missoula, MT  59801. There is a secure 24 hour/ day drop box near MHA’s entrance. MHA will NOT accept cash.

    If you are a Vantage Villa Resident you can use the drop box in your lobby.

  • Maintenance Contact Info
    If you need to report a maintenance request or maintenance emergency please call MHA, (406) 549-4113.  Emergencies are threats to life and safety such as broken water pipes, no heat, no water, broken windows and broken toilets in one-bathroom units.

    In the case of emergencies that occur after business hours (after 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday, Saturday or Sunday) please page an on-call maintenance person at (406) 327-8207 & leave your phone number in order for them to assist you. 

  • What if my income changes?

  • General information on the Community Service Requirement
    Every adult member of Public Housing units is required to perform eight hours of community service per month UNLESS they are exempt.  Please call MHA to get a list of agencies that need community service.  Participants are expected to use tracking sheet(s) and are required to turn completed tracking sheets in at their annual recertification meeting. 

    The following criteria would qualify a household as exempt from community service:

    —   You are 62 years or older;
    —   You are working at least 30 hours per week on a permanent basis;
    —   You are blind or disabled and you can certify to the Housing Authority that because of this disability you are unable to perform Community Service;
    —   You are the primary caretaker of a blind or disabled individual who is unable to perform Community Service;
    —   You are in vocational or job-skills training directly related to employment;
    —   You are in an educational program directly related to employment and you have not received a high school diploma or GED;
    —   You are in an educational program or in a course of study leading to a certificate of general equivalence (GED);
    —   You are providing childcare services to an individual who is participating in a community service program; or
    —   Your family receives assistance under a state welfare program which has work or community service requirements, and you are in compliance with those requirements;
    — You provide child care to preschool age children while spouse works full-time;
    — You receive Unemployment;
    — You are a full time student; or
    — You have a Live-in Aide.

    6 months to 2.5 years

  • I am expecting a change in my rent amount.  What do I owe this month?
