- Palace for a home / Missoula Housing Authority buys downtown property

Missoula Housing Authority executive director Peter Hance admired the sweeping, south-facing view from within a vacant one-bedroom rental at the Palace Apartments.
It's important to provide affordable, aesthetic housing in Missoula's downtown for folks of modest means, but with downtown real estate at a premium these days, MHA had feared the Palace would wind up in the hands of out-of-state developers bent on converting the place into high-end condos, he said.
